2002 Integra info

The new issue (Dec 18) issue of Autoweek lays down the details.

It will be called the RS-X and will come with a 200 HP i-VTEC engine mated with your choice of a 6 speed manual or 5 speed auto. It looks a lot like the new Celicas. Looking at the sketch I can see the nice 5 lug alloys wheels. They look like 16".

It will debut at the January Detroit auto show and will go on sale in July as a 2002 model.

I just checked Edmunds and a 2001 Civic EX Coupe has a (apparently dry) weight of 2553 pounds.

That sounds like good news. Hopefully the new Integra will come as a hatchback instead of a useless coupe format.

Oh, I just found the answer to my question in a japanese article. It looks like 1150kg or 2535 lbs. Of course I can read japanese but under the specs column it was the only number in kg so I figure its right. By the way, thats for the type R.

ANybody know if they are going with RWD for this car? I had heard it was going to be an all new chassis w/ RWD... Here's hoping.

I love my JRSC'ed 99 GSR, but after driving my friend's 95 M3 track car, I frigging love RWD cars.
